The area was never completely hidden. You could clearly see it on the in-game map, sitting there beyond the official boundaries. The problem was that the game did not actually want you to visit it.
Naturally, that made getting inside even more interesting.
The guide demonstrates the route and technique I used to get past the blocked entrance and explore the restricted part of the city.
It was the kind of discovery that made older open world games so much fun. You would notice an inaccessible road, an unused area, or a suspicious gap in the map and immediately start looking for a way through.
There were no official missions waiting on the other side and no major rewards to collect. The reward was simply reaching a place the developers had placed in view but kept outside the normal playable area.
Recently, I noticed that the video had started sending traffic to the website again.
That was unexpected. The guide has been online for more than a decade, and Crash Time 3 is far from a new release. Yet players are apparently still searching for ways to explore its blocked roads and unreachable corners.
It is a nice reminder that gaming guides can have a surprisingly long life. A trick recorded years ago can suddenly be rediscovered by a new player, a returning fan, or someone determined to explore every last part of an old game.

More than 13 years later, the road may still be blocked, but the way inside has not been forgotten.
